How the Hudsonworks Marketplace works

GE will be hiring contractors to dredge sediments from the river, build and operate a sediment dewatering facility, build and operate a rail yard, build infrastructure at the dewatering facility, collect environmental samples, and conduct a habitat restoration program in the river.

These contractors will need to obtain various materials, services and supplies from vendors, sub-contractors and suppliers. Click here to view a list of the materials and supplies that will be needed.

To assist our contractors in identifying local vendors and suppliers, GE has launched this Hudsonworks Marketplace. It is easy to use and submitting information is free of charge.

When filling out your Company Profile, you will be asked to submit your name, your company’s name, and contact information. You will then be asked to provide a description of your business, your business’ capabilities and experience, business affiliations, and professional references. You may submit as much or as little information about your business as you would like. Businesses of all sizes will be considered.

Once a Company Profile is submitted, you will be able to view and edit your profile at any time with use of a business-specific tracking number. GE will issue you this tracking number after your Company Profile is posted to the Marketplace.

Company profiles will not be accessible to the public. Only GE, its contracting manager Parsons, and those contractors hired by GE to perform the dredging project will be able to view Company Profiles submitted to the Hudsonworks Marketplace. If the dredging and construction contractors on the project see a potential fit with a business that has entered information into the Marketplace, they will contact those businesses directly.

Finally, there is no guarantee that submitting information to the Hudsonworks Marketplace ensures your company will be hired to provide materials or services on the project — only that the information will be made available to GE's contractors.
